Turkmen students are winners of team competitions in mathematics in Poland


Students from Turkmenistan performed well at the international team competition in mathematics (ISTCiM-2023), which took place from November 10 to 12, 2023 in the Polish city of Katowice.
The winners of gold medals in the individual competition were students of the International University for Humanities and Development - Myratgeldi Annamuhammedov, Medine Odaeva and Nurmyrat Ataev. The team's mentor is Pirmyrat Gurbanov.
Turkmen students also achieved success in the team competition. Thus, the joint team of the International University for Humanities and Development and the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, as well as the team of the Magtymguly Turkmen State University, were awarded a silver medal. A team consisting of students from the Oguz Khan University of Engineering Technologies and the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction, as well as the team from the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan won a bronze medal in the intellectual competition.
The international team competition in mathematics is organized by the University of Silesia in Katowice and the Upper Silesian Branch of the Polish Mathematical Society. The competition welcomes students at any stage of their studies - bachelor's, master's and postgraduate degrees.
The official language of the competition is English. About 100 students from different countries took part in it, including the UK, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, and Poland.
