Apple has extended free access to emergency satellite communications for another year to users of the latest two smartphone models (iPhone 14 and 15) in 16 countries and regions where this service is available.

With Apple's Emergency SOS service, you can contact emergency services in places where there is no cellular service or Wi-Fi.

It launched last November for iPhone 14 users in the US and Canada. Apple's Emergency SOS service is now also available on the iPhone 15 line of devices.

Apple Vice President of Worldwide iPhone Product Marketing Kayann Drance said that the company is pleased to provide iPhone 14 and 15 owners the opportunity to use the above-mentioned service free of charge for two years.

Previously, Apple developed a satellite roadside assistance service to connect drivers with the American Automobile Association. Owners can use this service in case of problems with the car in regions where there is no connection.

With Find My, iPhone users can share their location via satellite. The “In touch” option automatically notifies friends and family that the user has reached their destination safely.
