The editor-in-chief of the newspaper “Republic of Tatarstan” is accredited in Turkmenistan


The editor-in-chief of the newspaper “Republic of Tatarstan” Alexey Ugarov is accredited as a foreign journalist in Turkmenistan. This was reported by the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in Russia (Kazan).
The corresponding certificate was presented to Alexey Ugarov by the Consul-General of Turkmenistan in the city of Kazan Guychgeldi Garayev.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the issue of covering important socio-political events of Turkmenistan in the Tatarstan media, including in the newspaper “Republic of Tatarstan”. In this regard, the possibility of signing an agreement between the newspaper “Respublika Tatarstan” and the corresponding newspaper of Turkmenistan was mentioned.
They also considered organizing an exchange of experience between journalists from the two countries and conducting online lectures for journalism students.
Previously, Alexey Ugarov held the position of chief editor at the Tatar-inform news agency. In June of this year, he was appointed to the position of editor-in-chief of the newspaper “Respublika Tatarstan”, the founders of which are the State Council and the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan.
