President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the credentials of the Ambassador of Malaysia


President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received on Wednesday, November 22, the new Ambassador of Malaysia to Turkmenistan, Mohd Suhaimi Bin Ahmad Tajuddin. The diplomat presented credentials to the head of state and conveyed greetings from the Supreme Ruler of Malaysia Abdullah Riayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah and Prime Minister Anwar bin Ibrahim.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and wished him success in his diplomatic mission, noting that Malaysia is one of Turkmenistan's leading partners in the Asia-Pacific region, and today relations between the two states are gaining new content, the Turkmen State Television news outlet reported.
The sides highly appreciated the opportunities for expanding political and diplomatic dialogue, trade and economic ties, and cultural and humanitarian exchange.

The successful cooperation in the oil and gas sector was highlighted, an example of which is the long-term activity of the Malaysian company "Petronas Charigali" in Turkmenistan, which carries out projects for the extraction of hydrocarbons, as well as facilitating the training of highly qualified Turkmen specialists for the industry.
