Gazprom will launch production of its satellites in July
The Russian transnational energy company Gazprom, which has begun to actively expand into other industries, is preparing to launch an assembly line for the production of spacecraft of the Smotr-V family.
The assembly line will be launched next month.
Moreover, in 2025, in collaboration with several private investors, the company plans to launch at least two satellites per week.
According to Sergei Masalov, Deputy General Director of Gazprom SPKA, two demonstrators will be ready in August this year, which will later be thoroughly tested.
The official website of the Gazprom SPKA division reports that this enterprise is focused on the production of spacecraft for communications and remote sensing of the Earth, as well as their testing.
