Uzbek Expert: The China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway will strengthen the role of Central Asia in global supply chains
The China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway is an important infrastructure project that will significantly reduce transportation time for goods between China, Central Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.
According to experts, including Ravshan Nazarov, Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of State and Law of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, this railway will connect the key economic centers of the three countries and extend the route to Kazakhstan, Russia, and Europe. This will provide fast connectivity across Central Asia, which is especially important for optimizing logistics flows.
In an interview with the Xinhua News Agency, the expert stated that within the framework of the "Belt and Road Initiative," the project will help fill gaps in the region's cross-border transportation network, promote the integration of logistics, and strengthen the economic interconnection of the participating countries. Moreover, the new railway will reduce the number of transshipments, simplify border control procedures, and minimize the risks of cargo damage, which, in turn, will significantly reduce logistics costs. This will increase the efficiency of international freight transportation and allow companies to deliver large volumes of goods more quickly.
It is expected that the project will contribute to the development of industries such as manufacturing, agriculture, and energy, as well as strengthen trade and cultural ties between the countries.
It is important to note that the route has been carefully planned with consideration for geological conditions and construction costs, which will help avoid areas with high seismic risks and difficult terrain. Therefore, the railway will not only stimulate economic growth but also lay the foundation for social development in the countries it will pass through.
