Event dedicated to the works of Alisher Navoi and Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur held in Turkmenistan

The Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after D. Azadi hosted an event dedicated to the 584th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding poet and thinker Alisher Navoi and the 542nd anniversary of the birth of the great Uzbek poet, philosopher, and historian Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur.

The event was attended by the rector of the institute, Maksat Charyev, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan, Mr. Ravshanbek Alimov, as well as representatives of foreign diplomatic missions and representative offices of international organizations in Turkmenistan.

Students recited poems by Alisher Navoi and Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur in Uzbek and Russian, and the institute's "Altyn miras" creative group performed dance numbers. Guests were told about the valuable creative heritage of Alisher Navoi and Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur.

Also, within the framework of the event, a ceremony was held to award the winners of the essay writing competition "Geniuses of World Literature." The competition, dedicated to the life and work of Alisher Navoi and Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur, was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Turkmenistan.
