Plans to expand the Islamic banking experiment to other regions of Russia
One of the main topics of discussion at the KazanForum this May will be the expansion of the Islamic banking experiment to other regions of the country.
Currently, the experiment is being conducted in the territories of Bashkortostan, Tatarstan, Chechnya, and Dagestan. The primary financial products within the Islamic banking experiment have been developed by domestic specialists certified by the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI).
Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan, Head of the Strategic Vision Group, Rustam Minnikhanov noted: "An important task for us today is to develop cooperation with AAOIFI". According to R. Minnikhanov, the largest economic platform in Russia for discussing cooperation between Russia and Muslim states is the international economic forum "Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum".

The Roscongress Foundation serves as the operator for the preparation and execution of the event, with the ANO "Directorate of Sports and Social Projects" acting as the executive directorate of the operator.
