Lenovo unveils laptop with integrated solar panel in the lid
At Mobile World Congress, one of the world's largest exhibitions for the mobile industry, held in Barcelona, the Chinese company Lenovo introduced the Yoga Solar PC concept laptop, equipped with an integrated solar panel in its lid.
This innovation enables the device to charge using solar energy, making it particularly appealing to users who frequently find themselves outdoors or in environments with limited access to electricity.
According to Lenovo, the solar panel, boasting an efficiency of 24%, can accumulate enough energy in 20 minutes to provide one hour of video playback. The laptop incorporates 84 solar cells, along with Lenovo Dynamic Solar Tracking software, which monitors the current and voltage parameters generated by the panel.
The Yoga Solar PC is powered by an Intel Lunar Lake processor. The device has a thickness of 15mm and weighs approximately 1kg, featuring a 14-inch OLED display.
