Turkmenistan approves procedure for certification of experts in industrial safety
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree approving a new procedure for certification of experts in industrial safety. This decision was made in order to ensure proper operation of production facilities and increase the responsibility of legal entities and individuals operating such facilities, in accordance with the Law of Turkmenistan "On Industrial Safety of Hazardous Production Facilities".
As it became known from the TDH report, the draft of the new regulatory act was developed by the Main State Service "Turkmenstandartlary" together with relevant ministries, industry departments and hyakimliks of the velayats, as well as the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag.
During the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, Deputy Chairman of the Government Khodjamyrat Geldimyradov reported on the preparation of this document, which determines the procedure and terms of certification, establishes a list of necessary documents and regulates the work of the certification commission.
The new Procedure for Certification of Experts in Industrial Safety is designed to improve the qualifications of specialists working at hazardous production facilities in Turkmenistan. This, in turn, should help reduce the risks of accidents and incidents at work, as well as ensure a higher level of safety and efficiency in the operation of industrial facilities in the country. The approval of this procedure is an important step in the implementation of state policy in the field of industrial safety and emphasizes Turkmenistan's desire to further develop the economy in compliance with high safety standards.
