Demand for import of "blue fuel" in Europe will grow

Over the next 10 years, the demand for imported natural gas in European countries will continue to grow - said Louis Colasont, representative of the Italian company Sogefi Group, involved in the oil and gas sector of the European Union, Trend reports. Among the reasons for the increase in demand for new suppliers of "blue fuel", the expert calls a significant reduction in gas production in the Netherlands, the freezing of oil and gas projects in Norway, as well as the EU's desire to diversify energy supplies in order to avoid a monopoly on the oil and gas market. The "blue fuel" imported by the European Union will be in greatest demand in the countries of southeastern Europe, as they depend on unstable supplies of liquefied gas, says Colasont. The expert is also sure that the European Commission is interested in the implementation of the Southern Gas Corridor project, which, as Orient wrote earlier, could become one of the key routes for Turkmen gas to Europe.
