Turkmen and Iranian business can set up a joint trading platform


Turkmenistan and Iran have considerable potential of cooperation that can be unleashed through the establishment of a joint negotiating platform. The relevant proposal was voiced by mayor of Ashgabat Shamuhammet Durdyliyev in an interview with the Iranian news agency IRNA on the sidelines of the recent International exhibition of industrial products, equipment and advanced technologies, hosted by the Turkmen capital. Parties possess huge agreement basis, requiring coordination of efforts in its implementation. According to head of Ashgabat administration, business circles of Iran and Turkmenistan can establish the association or union, which will facilitate contacts under the single body, and enhance mutual understanding between the Turkmen and Iranian business. In turn, in the growing demand of the Turkmen market for technology and industrial innovations, Iranian entrepreneurs presented their offers in the sphere of equipping processing industries based on local raw materials. 32 Iranian companies participated in Ashgabat exhibition and showcased such products as oil and gas industry, various types of equipment, computer, chemicals, tile and ceramics, pipe, construction materials, steel, pipe, furniture, packaging, mining machinery, auto manufacturing.
