Swiss intermodal operator to connect Turkmenistan with European industrial hubs

Swiss group HUPAC, one of the leading European transport operators, has announced the launch of intermodal freight operations between European countries, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Iran. The start-up is scheduled for 12 February 2018. HUPAC offers the shipment services for 20’, 40’, 45’ containers by rail and marine transport via the Caspian and Black Sea basins. All main European industrial clusters of Germany, Benelux, Italy, Poland and Spain will be connected to destinations in Azerbaijan, Iran, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan, says company’s press release. The new logistics chain will be operated by Intermodal Express and Hupac Intermodal jointly with the Azerbaijani company ADY Konteyner. HUPAC Group, having fifty years of success at the international transport market, comprises 17 companies with offices in Switzerland, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Russia and China. Every day, more than 110 trains with HUPAC’s own wagons and platforms head for various destinations across Europe.
