The head of the CIS Executive Committee will guide the CIS observers mission at the parliamentary elections in Turkmenistan


An issue who will lead the groups of CIS observers for the parliamentary elections in Turkmenistan and presidential elections in the Russian Federation decided in Minsk. The permanent representatives of the CIS member states at their Council decided that the Head of the Executive Committee, the Executive Secretary of the organization Sergey Lebedev, will guide the CIS observers mission at the elections to the Turkmen Mejlis. A group of observers led by the First Deputy Head of the Executive Committee, the Executive Secretary of the CIS, Viktor Guminsky, will monitor the Russian presidential election. Earlier ORIENT informed that about 70 CIS observers will monitor the Turkmen parliamentary elections. The elections scheduled for March 25. The observers will start to monitor on March 2.
