Wheat harvest will begin in Turkmenistan on June 2. On this day, the mass kosovitsa of bread will begin in the Ahal, Lebap and Mary regions. A week later, on June 9, the Balkan and Dashoguz regions will join them.

The start date of the grain harvesting campaign was announced by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov at a government meeting on Friday, May 26. The Head of State asked the honorary elders of the people to open the harvest season with a traditional blessing ceremony.

Widespread workshops for young farmers and machine operators, which are conducted by experienced specialists and agricultural scientists, are timed to the beginning of the winter.
