A ceremony to present the highest state award of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the "Oliy Darajali Dustlik" (Friendship of the Highest Degree), to Serdar Berdimuhamedov, President of Turkmenistan, was held at the Kuksaroy residence in Tashkent.
Presenting the prestigious award, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized that this decision reflects the sincere respect and recognition by the people of Uzbekistan of the achievements of the President of Turkmenistan in strengthening friendship, mutual trust, and the strategic partnership between the two fraternal countries.
The head of Uzbekistan particularly noted: "You are worthily continuing the work of your father, the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, the esteemed Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Large-scale projects are being implemented in the country, creating a reliable foundation for ensuring a prosperous life for the people."

It was noted President Serdar Berdimuhamedov's personal contribution to the expansion of multifaceted Turkmen-Uzbek relations, leading to the comprehensive development of trade and economic ties, the launch of the ambitious Shavat-Dashoguz border trade zone, and the active development of mutually beneficial cooperation in energy, transport, and logistics.
It was also emphasized that this year marks the hosting of major international events in Turkmenistan dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust and the 30th anniversary of the country's neutrality.
It was emphasized that this highest award will serve as a shining symbol of the strong friendship and good-neighborliness between the two countries.
