Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Morocco Presents His Credentials

Turkmenistan and the Kingdom of Morocco are opening a new chapter in bilateral relations. The official ceremony of presenting the credentials of Mekan Ishangulyev, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Kingdom of Morocco (with residence in Ankara), took place recently in Rabat. The document was received by Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Living Abroad.
During the bilateral meeting, Ambassador Ishangulyev conveyed greetings and best wishes on behalf of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, to King Mohammed VI of Morocco.
Minister Bourita, in turn, expressed sincere gratitude for these greetings and asked that His Majesty King Mohammad VI convey reciprocal friendly wishes to the leadership of Turkmenistan.
During the talks, the parties discussed key issues related to strengthening relations, including expanding bilateral political dialogue and intensifying trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation.
The parties exchanged views on preparations for the International Forum on Peace and Trust, scheduled for December 12 this year in Ashgabat. This discussion underscored the two countries' commitment to working together to strengthen peace and stability.
