A gala event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality and the International Year of Peace and Trust took place in the European capital of Brussels. The reception, organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Kingdom of Belgium, brought together a distinguished group of representatives, including heads of European institutions, the Belgian government, ambassadors, diplomats, experts, and cultural representatives. The gala evening, which began with the symbolic performance of the national anthems of the three countries (Turkmenistan, Belgium, and the European Union), immediately set a tone of friendship and openness.

Ambassador of Turkmenistan Sapar Palvanov delivered the keynote address. He emphasized that the thirty-year path of neutrality has become a solid foundation for the independent state, but its essence lies not in distance or silence, but in an active and open stance aimed at supporting dialogue, trust, and cooperation, especially during difficult times. The Ambassador particularly emphasized Turkmenistan's contribution to strengthening stability in Central Asia and the implementation of key projects such as TAPI and TAP. He stated that neutrality allows Ashgabat to build new bridges connecting Europe, Central Asia, and South Asia.

The event was given exceptional significance by the participation of Serge Strubanets, Director of the European and Middle East Office of the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP), one of the world's leading centers for the study of peace factors. The IEP expert emphasized the importance of investing in stability, emphasizing that peace is born through concrete economic and social decisions. Strubanets emphasized that the TAPI and TAP projects create the foundation for long-term sustainability and strengthen the interconnectedness between the states of the region.

A significant highlight of the evening was the speech by Barbara Dietrich, President of Diplomatic World, who presented symbolic doves of peace, noting Turkmenistan's contribution to promoting a culture of dialogue that goes beyond pure politics.

One of the most striking and unexpected moments of the evening was the appearance of the finalists of the Miss Belgium pageant, who addressed the guests in traditional Turkmen national dress. These images were created by designer Govher Pirkulieva-Guverne, whose collections seamlessly blend national motifs with a modern take on cultural heritage. Her work added vibrancy and aesthetic expressiveness to the event, highlighting the beauty of Turkmen traditions.

The young women perceived this as a sign of respect and friendship, emphasizing that true beauty lies in kindness, respect, and a willingness to listen. Their participation was a clear reminder that the values of peace, trust, and solidarity must be manifested not only in diplomacy but also in the daily lives of each individual.

The gala evening in Brussels, which brought together diplomatic thought, expert analysis, cultural exchange, and youthful energy, reaffirmed an important truth: peace is born of trust, and trust comes through dialogue, respect, and a shared commitment to creativity.
