Ashgabat, November 24 | ORIENT. At the ceremonial opening of the office of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) – ADNOC Turkmenistan RSC Limited – Guvanch Agajanov, Chairman of the Turkmennebit State Concern, described the event as a practical step toward the active implementation of a strategic project in the Caspian.
Speaking at the event, the head of Turkmennebit emphasized that the presence of a global energy leader like ADNOC in Ashgabat is clear evidence of the attractiveness of the investment climate created in Turkmenistan under the leadership of the National Leader of the Turkmen People and the President of Turkmenistan. He also noted that the office opening takes place on the eve of Neutrality Day and during the Year of Peace and Trust.
Guvanch Agadzhanov recalled that less than six months ago, on May 14, 2025, the Production Sharing Agreement (PSA) was signed for the Block 1 Contract Area. This agreement was concluded between the Turkmennebit State Concern (represented by Khazarneft State Enterprise), its long-standing partner, PETRONAS Charigali (Turkmenistan) Sdn. Bhd., and ADNOC Turkmenistan RSC Limited.
"The opening of your office today in our white-marble capital is more than just a formality. It is a practical step, marking the beginning of the active phase of the large-scale Block 1 project," the Chairman of Turkmennebit stated.

The Chairman expressed confidence that, thanks to ADNOC's advanced technologies, extensive experience, and high standards, the cooperation will achieve all its goals.
Guvanch Agajanov outlined the key objectives that Turkmennebit associates with the successful work of the consortium: the successful development of hydrocarbon resources and efficient oil and gas production, the application of environmentally responsible and safe working methods, and the training and preparation of highly qualified specialists.
The Chairman of the Turkmennebit State Concern assured that the Turkmen side is fully prepared to provide comprehensive support at every stage of the work. He wished the ADNOC office team great professional success and noted that their daily work will be an important contribution to strengthening the friendship between Turkmenistan and the United Arab Emirates.
