As previously reported ORIENT, during the recent working visit of the President of Turkmenistan to Japan, a number of memorandums of national significance were signed. These include a Memorandum of Understanding between the Oguz Khan University of Engineering and Technology of Turkmenistan and the Faculty of Engineering of Tohoku University in Japan, as well as a Memorandum of Understanding on student exchanges between these universities, and a Memorandum of Understanding between the Graduate School of Science and Technology of Hirosaki University in Japan. This was reported by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.
The purpose of these memoranda is to develop scientific and educational cooperation, create joint programs, collaborate in higher education of mutual interest, and conduct large-scale work to train highly qualified specialists. These memoranda have become an important step in developing and strengthening relations between Turkmenistan and Japan in the fields of science and education.
To date, the Oguz Khan Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan has signed memorandums of cooperation with a total of 10 educational institutions and companies in Japan.
