Today, the Ashgabat Stadium hosted the “Grassroots” children’s football festival, organized by the Football Federation of Turkmenistan in cooperation with the Specialized Children and Youth Olympic Reserve Football School, according to the Football Federation of Turkmenistan (FFT).

Around 150 children born in 2014–2015 took part in the festival. The event was held in the format of game-based training sessions aimed at developing the basic technical skills of young footballers.

Several themed stations were set up on the football pitch, where the children practiced shooting at goal, took part in various competitions, contests and relay races, and performed a variety of exercises.

At the end of the event, all participants received football balls as gifts from the Football Federation of Turkmenistan.
