On January 12, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Turkmenistan, Ali Mojtaba Rouzbehani, and the Cultural Affairs Advisor met with the Rector of the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after Dowletmammet Azady.

During the meeting, the parties discussed ways to further expand cultural as well as scientific and educational cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran. Issues related to organizing professional development courses aimed at improving the qualifications of students and teachers specializing in the Persian language were also considered.

In addition, within the framework of the meeting, the Iranian Cultural Center in Ashgabat presented several books as gifts, including poems by Saadi translated into Turkmen, poems by Mollanepes and Andalib translated into Persian, collections of poems by other poets, as well as methodological textbooks on teaching the Persian language. A meeting was also held with students studying Persian language.
