On February 11, a landmark sporting event will take place in Ashgabat — the Round of 16 match of the AFC Champions League 2. The Olympic Stadium will host a clash between Turkmenistan’s Arkadag FC and Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassr.
To ensure the match is held at a high international standard, extensive preparations have been carried out. A key role in welcoming guests and fans will be played by 500 volunteers selected from students of the Institute of Physical Culture and Sports.

To provide comfort for foreign delegations, a team of 15 translators has been formed. In addition, 15 journalism students have been involved to assist with media coverage of the match. The entire process is coordinated by 50 experienced instructors of the institute.
In January, the volunteers completed a special training program. They studied the principles of sports ethics, spectator service culture, and safety requirements. Particular attention was given to international protocol and actions in emergency situations.

Thanks to this preparation, every spectator can expect a welcoming atmosphere and assistance with any issues. This will allow fans to fully focus on supporting their favorite teams.
Today, the Football Federation of Turkmenistan is completing the final preparations. The professionalism of the volunteers will ensure that the upcoming match becomes a true sporting celebration of global scale.
