On January 14, a meeting was held at Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly with participation of the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Turkmenistan, Ali Mojtaba Rouzbehani, and the Cultural Affairs Counselor, Abdolreza Abbasi. The meeting was attended by the rector of the university and other members of the university administration.

During the meeting, issues related to further strengthening existing cooperation between higher education institutions of the two countries were discussed, including holding a Persian language olympiad, active participation in international events, jointly organizing activities dedicated to prominent figures of both countries, as well as further development of scientific, educational, and cultural cooperation.

As part of the meeting, the Iranian Ambassador and the Cultural Affairs Counselor held discussions with students and teachers studying Persian language. In addition, with the aim of further promoting the study of the Persian language among students, the Cultural Center of the Islamic Republic of Iran presented as gifts a number of books by poets translated into Turkmen and Persian, as well as educational manuals.
