Turkmenistan officially accredited the new head of the diplomatic mission of the Republic of Indonesia. A series of meetings took place in Ashgabat, cementing the commitment to expanding the partnership between the two countries.
On February 17, at the direction of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Speaker of the Mejlis Dunyagozel Gulmanova accepted the credentials of new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Indonesia to Turkmenistan, Rolliansyah Soemirat.
During the ceremony, it was emphasized that Turkmenistan views Indonesia as an important partner in the Asia-Pacific region. The parties reaffirmed their readiness to intensify interparliamentary ties and deepen dialogue at the United Nations, where Ashgabat and Jakarta traditionally provide mutual support for each other's international initiatives.
That same day, the new Ambassador (with residence in Tehran) visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, where he presented copies of his credentials to Deputy Foreign Minister Akhmet Gurbanov. The diplomats discussed specific areas of cooperation, including prospects for increasing trade turnover and trade-economic contacts, developing cultural and educational ties, and synchronizing positions within major international organizations.

The Turkmen side assured Ambassador Rolliansyah of its full support for his mission, aimed at realizing the potential of bilateral cooperation.
