A key meeting of the Economic Affairs Commission of the CIS Economic Council was held in Moscow, in historic Pavilion No. 71 at VDNKh (Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy). The meeting, chaired by Turkmenistan, once again confirmed Ashgabat's active role in shaping a modern cooperation architecture within the Commonwealth.

The meeting reviewed a number of draft documents planned for submission to the CIS Economic Council and the Council of Heads of Government, according to the Department of Economic Cooperation of the CIS Executive Committee. The agenda covered various areas, from high-tech metallurgy to the transparency of financial flows. One of the central topics was the discussion of the Concept for the Digital Transformation of the Mining and Metallurgical Complex. This document aims to unite the technological potential of CIS countries by introducing intelligent management systems into one of the core sectors of the economy.
The commission thoroughly reviewed the Interstate Radio Navigation Program for 2027–2030. This effectively creates a unified "navigation shield" and coordination system that will ensure the safety and accuracy of navigation across the vast expanse of the Commonwealth.

A key point was the discussion of a protocol on the automatic exchange of tax information. Now, tax authorities of participating countries will automatically be able to view the equity stakes of individuals and legal entities in companies across the CIS. The full launch of the system is planned for 2028–2029.
The Commission members also assessed the progress of the program in the field of Earth remote sensing and geodesy. The creation of a unified Geoportal for spatial data infrastructure will allow CIS countries to share best practices in cadastral registration and real estate registration, using satellite data for the most accurate monitoring.

In the lead-up to the 35th anniversary of the Commonwealth, the VDNKh site will become the center of large-scale celebrations. National pavilions are planned to be the main showcases of our countries' achievements and hospitality.
The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for April 22, and a joint meeting with the Council of Permanent Representatives will be held on March 31, where Turkmenistan will continue to promote economic integration initiatives.
