On February 24, Minister of Education of Turkmenistan Jumamyrat Gurbangeldyev met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Turkmenistan, Azizbek Madmarov. This was reported on the official website of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of bilateral cooperation in the fields of education and science. They noted the consistent expansion of interaction between the two countries and emphasized the importance of exchanging experience and implementing joint projects.
Special attention was paid to upcoming international events. The Turkmen side invited students from Kyrgyzstan to participate in the III International Mathematical Olympiad, which will be held in Ashgabat from April 8 to 13, 2026.
The participants also discussed organizing a working visit by the Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic to Ashgabat during the same period.
In turn, the Kyrgyz side invited a delegation from Turkmenistan to participate in a scientific and practical conference to be held as part of the 6th World Nomad Games.
The parties expressed confidence that strengthening educational ties will serve as a solid foundation for the further development of friendly and partner relations between Turkmenistan and the Kyrgyz Republic.
