On March 21, the International Holiday of Novruz, the spring season of a large-scale tree-planting campaign was launched across the country. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty (People's Council), Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, took part in the traditional event.
From the capital to the smart city of Arkadag, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov led the tree-planting campaign at a specially prepared site in the foothills of the Kopetdag Mountains. The head of state was joined by leaders of the government, parliament, law enforcement agencies, and the diplomatic corps. The participation of the country's top officials in the tree-planting campaign underscores not only the country's commitment to Novruz traditions but also its systematic approach to implementing the National Forestry Program.

Concurrently, in the new smart city of Arkadag, the National Leader of the Turkmen People launched the campaign. Together with a young assistant, he planted the first sapling, blessing the noble cause.
A Scientific Approach and Achievement Statistics: Modern landscaping in Turkmenistan is not only a mass effort but also a rigorous scientific approach. The choice of tree species is dictated by the soil and climate conditions of each specific area, guaranteeing a high survival rate of forest zones.

The scale of the work accomplished in just one day is impressive: 611,962 new seedlings graced the country's foothills and parklands; 2,024,240 trees planted in previous years were cared for.
An Environmental Program in Action. The expansion of forests around the capital and surrounding regions is becoming a key factor in creating a comfortable microclimate. For example, in the city of Arkadag, emphasis is placed on maintaining environmental standards within the second phase of development, where clean air and abundant green spaces are essential elements of the urban infrastructure.

This nationwide campaign has once again confirmed that caring for nature in Turkmenistan is a long-term strategy aimed at preserving biodiversity and creating a healthy future for future generations.
