At a Cabinet of Ministers meeting on Friday, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov approved the official date for the start of mass cotton sowing. This important campaign will begin in all regions of the country on Wednesday, March 25.

According to tradition, honorary elders will be the first to sow the seeds, symbolically marking the start of cotton growers' work.

Deputy Prime Minister Tangryguly Atakhalliyev reported on the full readiness of the technical fleet and seed stock. Other important work is also underway in the regions: intensive mineral fertilizer application and vegetation irrigation in wheat fields, and the sowing of potatoes, vegetables, and melons to supply the domestic market.
