
On April 12, the closing ceremony of the 3rd International Mathematical Olympiad for schoolchildren took place at Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly. The prestigious competition brought together 170 young talents from 11 countries, including China, Russia, Türkiye, Iran, Belarus, and the states of Central Asia. Leaders of the intellectual competition
Based on the competition results, 85 medals were awarded across Levels A and B. Schoolchildren from Turkmenistan demonstrated outstanding preparation, taking first place overall in the team standings. The national team's haul includes 29 awards: 6 gold, 10 silver, and 13 bronze medals.
The top three by number of gold medals are as follows:
• Turkmenistan — 6 gold medals
• Tajikistan — 3 gold medals
• Uzbekistan — 2 gold medals
The total number of prize-winning places also confirms the high level of competition: Uzbekistan's team won 16 medals, while representatives from Tajikistan earned 15.
