The International University of Oil and Gas named after Yagshygeldi Kakaev summarized the results of large-scale olympiads in mathematics, chemistry, and informatics. The intellectual competitions were held in two stages and involved graduating school students from all regions of Turkmenistan, including the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag.
The scale of the competition was impressive: 695 students participated in the first, online round. Following a rigorous evaluation, 189 of the most talented students advanced to the second stage. The final round took place on April 25 at the university’s academic facilities, where participants solved challenging test tasks prepared by leading faculty members.
Based on the scores achieved, winners and prize holders were ceremonially awarded first-, second-, and third-degree diplomas on behalf of the university’s rector. However, for many participants, the main reward was not only the official certificates but also the opportunity to explore in detail the university’s advanced laboratories and modern educational centers.
Specially organized career-guidance tours allowed students to clearly see the prospects of studying at one of the country’s leading technical universities. The most successful participants, who demonstrated outstanding results, received personal invitations to continue their education at the university immediately after graduating from school.
