From May 17 to 22, Baku will host the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), the largest international platform for discussing the future of megacities. At the direction of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, a delegation from Turkmenistan will participate in this global event.
The forum, organized by the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) jointly with the Government of Azerbaijan, will be a meeting place for leading architects, urbanists, and government officials from around the world. For Turkmenistan, this is an opportunity to strengthen cooperation with reputable international organizations and share its unique experience in creating smart and sustainable cities.
The President emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation in trade, economic, scientific, and educational spheres within the framework of such forums. Our delegation's participation in the WUF13 Baku session underscores Turkmenistan's commitment to sustainable development goals and its desire to implement best global practices in national urban development.
