A youth campaign under the slogan “Environmental Well-Being is the Beauty of the Earth” was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The event, organized by the UNESCO Club “Culture of Peace” together with the public organization “Young Naturalist,” combined theoretical discussions on environmental responsibility with practical landscaping activities.

The event began with an educational meeting during which experts discussed key issues on the global agenda with students. Special attention was paid to environmental diplomacy and Turkmenistan’s role in addressing climate challenges at the international level, as well as the country’s efforts to develop a green economy, combat desertification, and preserve biodiversity. In addition, participants thoroughly examined aspects of cooperation with UNESCO in protecting the nation’s natural heritage.
During the campaign, it was noted that all necessary conditions are being created in the country for the development of environmental awareness and the harmonious upbringing of the younger generation. Following the theoretical part, the students moved on to practical activities: as part of an eco-quest, they landscaped the institute’s study areas, improved garden and park spaces, and cleaned the surrounding territory.

Such initiatives help young specialists gain practical understanding of the foundations of Turkmenistan’s environmental policy and promote a healthy lifestyle. Personal participation in greening their homeland became the best way for students to demonstrate responsibility for preserving the country’s natural wealth. The most active participants of the campaign received commemorative prizes from the “Young Naturalist” organization.
