Indian Experts Hold Ayurveda Webinar for Medical University Students in Turkmenistan

The All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) organized an educational webinar for students and faculty at the Myrat Garryev State Medical University of Turkmenistan. The event focused on a fundamental theory of traditional Indian medicine: the concept of Tridosha and the mechanisms behind the development of diseases.
Students from the Faculty of Sports and Wellness Rehabilitation attended the online lecture. Dr. Mohan R. Joshi, Deputy Dean of the institute, explained in detail the principles of balancing the three primary vital energies—Vata (air and space), Pitta (fire and water), and Kapha (earth and water). He demonstrated how imbalances in these energies contribute to the onset and progression of diseases and concluded the session by answering questions from the future physicians.

This event marks another step in strengthening the long-standing healthcare partnership between the two nations. India and Turkmenistan are actively fostering ties in the field of traditional medicine; a Center for Yoga and Traditional Medicine has been operating in Ashgabat since 2015, and a specialized Ayurveda unit opened at the capital's Medical University earlier this year.
As part of its "Extended Neighborhood" policy, India intends to continue sharing its expertise and knowledge with Turkmenistan in the fields of medicine, pharmaceuticals, and traditional wellness practices.
