Turkmen masters participate in the IV Tashkent Biennale of Applied Arts

The IV International Biennale of Applied Arts began its work in Tashkent,
bringing together three dozen artists from 12 countries - France, Italy, India, Japan,
Egypt, Russia, Lithuania, Azerbaijan, Central Asian countries, including
Turkmenistan. Uzbekistan is represented at the festival by more than 60 artists and

The IV International Biennale of Applied Arts began its work in Tashkent, bringing together three dozen artists from 12 countries - France, Italy, India, Japan, Egypt, Russia, Lithuania, Azerbaijan, Central Asian countries, including Turkmenistan. Uzbekistan is represented at the festival by more than 60 artists and masters of folk and decorative arts, UzA reports.

The exhibition, which this year is held under the motto “Globalization and preservation of national traditions: choosing a path,” presents historical and contemporary art of foreign countries and Uzbekistan. On the sidelines of the forum, master classes, presentations and a scientific-practical conference “Panorama of Applied Art: Traditions and the Art Market” are also held.

Creative events are held in several locations in Tashkent - the Central Exhibition Hall of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan, the Gallery of Fine Arts, the Ikuo Hirayama International Caravanserai of Culture, the House of Photography and the Museum of Oriental Miniature Art.

The international biennale will last until October 20.
