Evening of Indian Kathak dance in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Republic Day of India

On January 26, the Embassy of India in Turkmenistan will hold an evening of Indian Kathak dance in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Republic Day of India.

Kathak is an Indian classical dance popular in the northern part of India. The word Kathak comes from the word katha, the art of storytelling and translated as “one who is good at the art of storytelling.”
