Turkish Airlines continues to expand its presence in the UK market and has announced the launch of a new route between Istanbul and London. Starting March 18, the airline will operate flights on the Istanbul — London (Stansted Airport) — Istanbul route.

In the initial phase, flights will operate 10 times per week. From March 29, the frequency will increase to 14 flights per week — effectively offering passengers two daily departures. The expansion of the schedule is driven by sustained demand for air travel between Türkiye and the UK, as well as the airline’s desire to provide more convenient travel options.

The new route to Stansted Airport will complement the airline’s existing network in London and expand airport choices for passengers. The route is aimed at both business travelers and tourists visiting one of Europe’s key financial and cultural centers.

Founded in 1933 with a fleet of just five aircraft, Turkish Airlines is today one of the world’s largest carriers. The company operates flights to 356 destinations in 132 countries, with a fleet of 519 aircraft, including passenger and cargo planes.
