Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working trip to the city of Arkadag at the invitation of the head of the local administration Shamukhammet Durdulyev. During the visit, the head of the supreme representative body of the people's power inspected the new electric cars and electric buses of the city, TDH reports.

The new taxis and public transport will be fully powered by electricity. The fundamental rejection of traditional fuel sources is in harmony with the plans to create a "smart" and safe eco-environment in the city.

Also, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was presented with sketches of temporary parking of electric buses and a local control room.

The head of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan was the first to test an electric car in a new city: he drove along Akhan Avenue.
