Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Praised the Azerbaijani Sea Breeze Project on the Caspian Sea
16.07.2025 | 21:45 |Today, July 16, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev visited the large-scale Sea Breeze recreation center, located on the picturesque coast of the Caspian Sea.
During the visit, founder of Sea Breeze Emin Agalarov presented to the heads of the two states the current and future projects being implemented on the territory of the resort. According to AZERTAC, special attention was paid to the grandiose plans for the development of this unique complex.
Just 30 minutes' drive from Baku, Sea Breeze is a truly unique project on a global scale. It unites a huge number of real estate objects of various formats on its territory. To date, more than 3 million square meters of residential and commercial real estate have already been commissioned here, over 500 objects have been built.
Ambitious development plans include the creation of an artificial peninsula in the shape of a crescent with a total area of 50 hectares. Currently, 20 thousand people live in Sea Breeze, but by 2028 this number is planned to increase to 50 thousand. In the future, after the full implementation of the project, the resort will be able to accommodate up to 500 thousand residents.
To ensure maximum comfort for residents and guests, as well as to organize their leisure, a developed infrastructure has been created on the territory. More than 150 hectares have already been allocated for recreation areas, parks and beaches. A school, a kindergarten, a hospital have been built, about 10 million plants and trees have been planted, as a result of which the total area of green spaces has reached 300 hectares. The main facilities of Sea Breeze, which currently occupies 500 hectares, are located along the coastline.
The total investment in this mega-project has already reached 3 billion dollars. In the next five years, it is planned to attract more than 10 billion dollars in additional investment, which indicates the colossal potential and prospects for the development of Sea Breeze.
The visit of such a high-ranking guest from Turkmenistan, accompanied by the President of Azerbaijan, emphasizes not only the importance of the project itself, but also the strategic partnership of the two Caspian states focused on the development of their coastal zones and strengthening regional cooperation.
