Hong Kong's first space satellite ready for launch

The first project to create a satellite for remote sensing of the Earth has been completed in Hong Kong. The Hong Kong Star spacecraft will be launched from an offshore platform in China at the end of November.
The satellite has a high-resolution optical camera that can transmit clear images of the Earth's surface.
According to experts, Hong Kong Star will be useful for the development of global logistics, the construction of "smart cities", as well as for the prevention and elimination of the consequences of natural disasters.
Hong Kong Star is the first satellite under Hong Kong's program to create its own orbital constellation, which will consist of 720 spacecraft.
This program is designed to strengthen the scientific and technical potential and competitiveness of Hong Kong in the field of space technology.
