Students from Turkmenistan are prize winners of the International Mathematical Olympiad in St. Petersburg
24.04.2025 | 11:10 |Students from Turkmenistan successfully performed at the Northern Countries Universities Mathematical Competition (NCUMC).
The Olympiad was organized from April 20 to 22 by ITMO University in St. Petersburg.
In the individual standings of the Olympiad, the Turkmen students won 16 medals - 7 gold and 9 silver.
The winners of gold medals were students of the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly Shabibi Nurjanova, Hajymuhammet Atayev and Orazguly Gylyjov, a student of the International University for the Humanities and Development Selbi Ruslanova, a student of the Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan named after Oguz Khan Gulovser Gylychmammedova, students of the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan Muhammet Annayev and Mergen Meredov.
Silver medals were awarded to Rahmet Penjiev, Kerim Toylyev (International University for the Humanities and Development), Dovletgeldi Shakirjanov (Oguz Khan Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan), Islam Hayytmuhammedov (International Oil and Gas University named after Yagshygeldi Kakayev), Begench Saparov (Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management), Gurtgeldi Khanov, Myrat Janmuradov (Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute), Batyr Ovezmuradov (Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering) and Bayram Turayev (State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan).
In the team competitions of the Olympiad, the first place was taken by students of the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly, the second place - by the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan, the third place - by students of the International University for the Humanities and Development.
This year, 351 students from higher educational institutions of Russia, Turkmenistan, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Senegal and Vietnam took part in the Northern Countries Universities Mathematical Competition.
