Author's concert of composer Jeren Kurbanklycheva was held in Ashgabat
04.05.2025 | 23:20 |A creative evening of composer Jeren Kurbanklycheva was held at the Magtymguly Musical and Drama Theater. This event became significant for the cultural life of the country, since Jeren Kurbanklycheva is the first female composer in Turkmen professional music.
The concert was conducted by conductors Nury Mukhiyev and Kovus Byashimov. The Symphony Orchestra of the Turkmen National Conservatory named after Maya Kulieva performed on stage, performing the composer's works reflecting various periods and genres of her work.
The program opened with the performance of a symphonic poem, which set the tone for the entire evening. The patriotic song “Guwan, Türkmenim!” (“Be proud, my Turkmenistan”) performed by People's Artist of Turkmenistan Atajan Berdiev was met with great enthusiasm and enthusiasm from the audience. Then the first part of the concert for dutar and orchestra was performed. People's Artist of Turkmenistan Orazmyrat Annanepesov and the winner of the "Play, Bakhshi" competition Murat Ashirov performed a composition that harmoniously combined the traditional Turkmen instrument and symphony orchestra, emphasizing the composer's respect for national musical roots.
Then the program included two pieces performed by the famous vocalist Begench Moshshyev: "Bedevim" ("Race Horse") and "Durnalar" ("Cranes"). His interpretation of "Bedevim" was especially expressive and found a response from the audience.
Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Selbi Annadurdyeva presented the song "Kim sen?" ("Who are you?"). Her performance was one of the most memorable moments of the evening and evoked strong emotions in the audience.
The bright performance of the young performer Dovran Shammyev with the song "Through Separation" was also remembered by the audience. His performance was distinguished by emotional depth and sincerity.
The evening continued with two pieces for clarinet and orchestra, “In the Square” and “Two in the Rain,” performed by Gurbanguly Ishangulyev, creating a romantic mood in the hall. People's Artist of Turkmenistan Aina Seyitkulieva performed the cheerful composition “I am happy,” which was met with great joy by the audience.
The culmination of the evening was the performance of a concert for piano and orchestra. The piece, dedicated to the image of a bakhshi woman in search of her creative path, was masterfully performed by the laureate of international and national competitions Myahri Orazova. Her performance was met with prolonged and stormy applause from the audience.
The creative evening of Jeren Kurbanklycheva confirmed her significant role in the development of the national school of composition and became an important cultural event in Turkmenistan, giving the audience a bright meeting with her beautiful music. The concert ended with warm congratulations to the composer.
