Oriented on making people closer

Within the framework of the Tashkent International Investment Forum, a meeting took place between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Nokerguly Atagulyyev.

At the outset of the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister conveyed warm greetings and best wishes to the President of Uzbekistan from the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

Current issues concerning the further development and strengthening of Uzbek-Turkmen relations of friendship, good-neighborliness, and strategic partnership were reviewed.

Particular attention was given to forming a new agenda for full-scale cooperation in the trade, economic, transport, communication, energy, and water management sectors, as well as enhancing cooperation in various branches of the economy.

The importance of thorough preparation for the upcoming Forum of Regions and a series of joint business and cultural events was also emphasized.
