Turkmen School Students Head to the “Robot Olympics” in Panama

Turkmenistan will be represented by a team of school students at the prestigious international robotics competition “First Global Challenge 2025” in the Republic of Panama. The event, often referred to as the “Robot Olympics,” will take place from October 29 to November 1, bringing together young people from 190 countries.

Our country will be represented by the team “Oguzrobot,” formed by students of Ashgabat’s specialized Secondary School No. 97 with advanced language studies. The team members are Ysmayyl Charyyev, Emirhan Gylychmuhammedov, Aznavur Cholukov, Shirmukhammet Gulov, and Gurbangeldi Orazgeldiyev. The team is led by experienced teacher Myrat Sahetgulyyev.

Over the past few months, the team has been intensively preparing for the tournament at the “Kämil Bilim” educational center. The talented descendants of Oguz Han successfully designed their robot, developed the software, and conducted thorough testing.

“The students’ level of preparation is high. We are hopeful for good results. This competition is a great opportunity for our youth to gain international experience and enhance their creative and engineering skills,” noted Myrat Sahetgulyyev.

The “First Global Challenge” is an international robotics competition modeled after the Olympic Games. This year’s theme focuses on ecosystem balance and encourages young people to present innovative solutions for environmental protection.
