Turkish Airlines expands its international route network, strengthening its position in global tourism

In October 2025, Turkey’s national airline company Turkish Airlines, expanded its route network by launching additional flights on several popular routes. The airline continues to reinforce its status as a leading global carrier connecting cities across Europe, Asia, and Africa. The new flights, launched at the end of October, have provided more opportunities for travel and business exchanges between countries.
Additional flights to Africa: Banjul and Nouakchott
Starting from October 26, 2025, the frequency of flights on the Istanbul – Banjul – Nouakchott – Istanbul route has been increased. The airline now operates five flights per week.
The updated schedule has strengthened air connections between Turkey, Gambia, and Mauritania, offering more convenient travel opportunities for tourists and business travelers. These destinations are becoming increasingly important in Africa due to growing interest in tourism and investment cooperation.
Bali becomes closer to Europe
From October 28, 2025, the number of flights on the Istanbul – Denpasar (Bali) – Istanbul route has been increased to nine per week. Bali remains one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. The increased frequency meets high demand and offers more travel options for passengers from Europe and the Middle East.
More flights to Pakistan: Lahore and Islamabad
As of October 27, 2025, the number of weekly flights between Istanbul and Lahore has been increased to 14. Similarly, the same frequency has been introduced on the Istanbul – Islamabad route starting from October 26.
Pakistan is one of the key destinations for Turkish Airlines, reflecting close cultural, economic, and humanitarian ties between the two countries. The new schedule allows passengers greater flexibility and contributes to the development of business and tourism cooperation.
