On 10–11 December 2025, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Türkiye organized in Karabuk University a series of events dedicated to the 30th Anniversary of Turkmenistan’s acquisition of the status of Permanent Neutrality and the proclamation of 2025 as the “International Year of Peace and Trust.”

The program commenced with the inauguration of an exhibition of traditional Turkmen arts and crafts, as well as a photo exhibition illustrating the rich cultural heritage of the Turkmen people and the dynamic progress of modern Turkmenistan.

Subsequently, an International Conference entitled “The 30th Anniversary of the Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan: Cooperation for the sake of Peace and Trust” was convened in the Congress Hall of Karabuk University. The event gathered representatives of the leadership of Karabuk University and Bolu University, local authorities, members of the academic community, students, and media representatives.

During the conference, participants underscored the significance of the Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan as a steadfast pillar of its foreign policy. They also highlighted the international initiatives of the President of Turkmenistan, H.E. Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, H.E. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, aimed at fostering dialogue, mutual trust, and cooperation at the regional and global levels.

Following the conclusion of the conference, active participants were presented with letters of appreciation and commemorative gifts on behalf of the Embassy of Turkmenistan.

The program continued with a festive concert, during which artistic performances prepared by students from Turkmenistan contributed to an atmosphere of friendship and cultural exchange, reflecting the diversity and vibrancy of Turkmen national traditions.

In honor of the 30th Anniversary of the Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan a series of sport competitions including football, volleyball, table tennis, and chess were also held. The winners received cups and medals presented by the Embassy of Turkmenistan.

The events concluded with a reception featuring traditional dishes of Turkmen cuisine, providing participants with an opportunity to engage in informal dialogue, exchange impressions, and further acquaint themselves with the ancient cultural heritage and modern achievements of Turkmenistan.
