Today in Ashgabat, members of the Indian community and friends of India ceremoniously celebrated the inclusion of Diwali — the traditional Indian Festival of Lights — in UNESCO’s List of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
Participants emphasized that UNESCO’s decision is an important step in recognizing India’s cultural richness and centuries-old traditions at the international level.

Diwali, symbolizing the victory of light over darkness and good over evil, unites families and communities around the world.
