Two new production facilities built by domestic private businesses have been commissioned in the Akhal region of Turkmenistan. The new facilities are aimed at import substitution, expanding the range of consumer goods, and providing the population with high-quality drinking water.
Drinking Water Production in Geoktepe
A purified drinking water plant belonging to the Gül Zaman business association has opened in the Geoktepe district. The facility, covering 3 hectares, includes a modern purification plant, a quality control laboratory, and a warehouse complex.
The plant is equipped with advanced foreign equipment for multi-stage filtration. Water will be produced under the Zamana, Mermer, and Durna brands. The facility employs 45 people, primarily young people.
Parahat's New Subdivision in Bakharden
The opening of the Talh production unit took place in the Bakharden district. It is part of the renowned Turkmen manufacturer Parahat, one of the largest high-tech enterprises producing natural juices and nectars, iced tea, carbonated beverages, fruit and vegetable purees, fermented milk products, concentrates, and meat products.
The facility is located on a 3-hectare site. The entire production cycle is automated and based on innovative technologies from leading industrialized countries.
The products of the new plant are aimed at the domestic market and will be distributed to retail chains throughout the country and the capital.
Both projects were implemented by members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET), confirming the growing role of the private sector in the industrialization of the national economy.
