From October 3 to November 23, 2025, the UNESCO Almaty Regional Office, in cooperation with the National Federation of UNESCO Clubs of Kazakhstan, the Embassy of the United Kingdom in Astana, and the Association of UNESCO Clubs of the Kyrgyz Republic, organized a regional creative competition among young people from Central Asian countries entitled “Art of Equal Opportunities: Sport and Artificial Intelligence.” The results of the competition were summarized upon its completion.

Within the framework of the competition, participants were invited to submit creative works in two categories: “Women and Artificial Intelligence” and “Women in the World of Sport.”

As a result of the competition, 25 best works by young artists under the age of 18 from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan were selected. The competition became an important platform for presenting, through the creative perspective of youth, issues related to gender equality, the role of sport as a space of equal opportunities, and the place of artificial intelligence in contemporary society.

From Turkmenistan, students of the 24th Specialized School for Gifted Youth in the city of Mary, Mary velayat, which is a member of the UNESCO Associated Schools Network, took part in the competition. These included Tachgulyyeva Gozel, Nurmuhammedova Jennet, and Orazova Arzuw. Their works stood out for their deep conceptual content and high artistic quality, earning them victory in the competition. In addition, their coordinating mentor, teacher Badyyeva Jeren, was awarded a special certificate in recognition of her pedagogical support and contribution to the preparation of the participants.

From December 3 to 8, 2025, a final exhibition was held in Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan, where the 25 best works of the competition, including those by young artists from Turkmenistan, were displayed. Certificates and commemorative gifts were presented to the selected authors and their mentors.

The regional competition “Art of Equal Opportunities: Sport and Artificial Intelligence” became a vivid example of the successful integration of art, digital technologies, and socially significant initiatives aimed at strengthening young people’s understanding of gender equality.
