TURKMENISTAN | ORIENT. For hundreds of Turkmen families, the outgoing year 2025 is ending not just with holiday chores, but with the beginning of a new chapter in their lives. In the last days of December, a wave of housewarmings swept across the country: new residential complexes opened in the capital's Byuzmeyin etrap, the Parahat-7 microdistrict, and the administrative center of the Mary velayat.
In the capital, the festive marathon began on Senagat Street in Byuzmeyin. Here, modern four-story buildings designed for 112 families have been built.
Particular emphasis is placed on inclusivity: among the new apartments are citizens with disabilities. Architects have provided barrier-free environments and specialized interior amenities for them. This once again confirms the main principle of state policy: modern comfort should be accessible to everyone.
The celebration continued in the Parakhat-7 residential complex. The nine-story new buildings in this area have already become a landmark of the eastern part of the capital. The new buildings here feature improved layouts—kitchens and hallways are designed to meet enhanced comfort standards, and the finishing materials are durable and environmentally friendly.

The city of Mary also saw a significant number of new residents. An entire residential complex of 16 four-story buildings with 640 apartments opened along Bayram Khan Street. The project, implemented by the private enterprise Erkin Gurlushyk, became an example of successful shared-equity construction.
The opening ceremony was enhanced by the ceremonial celebration of a boisterous Turkmen wedding: a wedding cortege, led by riders on Akhal-Teke horses, rode through the new courtyards to the applause of neighbors.
A notable detail of the housewarmings is the interiors. Apartments in Mary were delivered fully furnished by Turkmen manufacturers, highlighting the growth of the domestic furniture industry. Furthermore, the buildings are equipped with smart features, from modern gas and water supply systems to digital home appliances.
Playgrounds, retail outlets, and social amenities within the complexes transform these buildings into autonomous "cities within a city," where everything necessary for life is within easy reach.
